HOW TO APPLY

The New York French-American Charter School (NYFACS) is a Free, Public Charter School. 

You must be a resident of New York City in order to apply for a space for your child AT NYFACS.

If a charter school receives more applications than seats available, it is required by law to hold a lottery.

Admission to NYFACS is by randomized lottery in April at the school, located on 311 West 120th Street, New York, NY 10027.

deadline to submit an application to the NYC COMMON ONLINE CHARTER SCHOOL WEBSITE:

April 1st, 2017

Any applications submitted after 5:00 PM April 1, 2017 will be automatically included in the waiting list.

The lottery will take place in APRIL 2017

The date will be DETERMINED in January

NYFACS Admission preferences are as follows:

1- Sibling and Staff Priority

2- Students in District 3

3- Students in Manhattan

4- Students in other NYC boroughs

 

Post Lottery:

Placement notices will be sent to all applicants before the end of April 2017.

Applicants who were admitted through the lottery will receive the registration packet needed to complete the Enrollment Process (see info below on how to complete the Admission Process)

Applicants who were not admitted through the lottery will be informed of their assigned lottery position, along with an “interest form” that they need to return to school by the specified date in order to be considered for any seat available for the upcoming school year.
